1. Of which part? He really wanted to go to Harvard. That part is tragic! Except for the essay, which I'm sure was a) the product of many hours of effort b) absolutely not what the Harvard admissions board wanted to see, and c) hilarious.

2. The sad thing is...that way of thinking is sort of his attempt at optimism. Where most people would tell themselves, "she's in a better place" (although I'm sure Alan's tried that; he just wasn't terribly convinced), Alan tells himself, "well, our marriage would have gone to shit eventually."

Hmmm, none of those involved Denny. I need more Alan & Denny fanon, clearly.

1- The Risk games, mostly, but just a little vignette of The Higher Education of Alan Shore would be awesome. You could include bits of all of it.

2- *nods* Oh, Alan. I need a drawer to put all the little piece of my heart Alan has chipped off! (That should be the title of a really bad emo song)

1. Oooooh, perhaps I shall. (Hahaha, I was very pleased when Alan turned down the offer of hallucinogenic tea, because I had a little bit of fanon backstory worked out involving college, drugs and night terrors.)
