(no subject)

High drama at 7 AM: I wake to my mother lumbering (upon waking, I immediately began searching for a verb obnoxious enough to convey what she was doing) around in search of her sewing box. Unbeknownst to me, our house was in the throes of a safety-pin crisis. I have only conjecture to go by, but my best guess is that my sister needed one to pin her toga together (certain windows carelessly left open on the shared computer have led me to conclude that it's spirit week at the high school).

So, yeah. I'm living in my mom's basement until I find a job. Since this is mostly my own fault, I'll try to keep my whining to a minimum, but I'd forgotten how frustrating this household was (doubly so since my brother's at college). Everything revolves around swim practice. I hadn't been home two days and my mom'd already suggested I become the junior varsity swim coach. There were. No. Words.

Also, as soon as I discover the joys of sitting on the porch and writing, the weather takes a turn for the fiendishly cold. Where are you when I need you, global warming??

ETA: And I kind of want to do that "ask me about the characters I've RPed" meme, only with characters I've never played/have no intention of playing. Anyone up for that, or would it betray your trust?

Going home is always unpleasant.

Pretend I asked you about the character you wanted to talk about, but haven't RP'd. And also asked you about Brain and Jimmy and that other character.

I'm leaving for college in 5 days. If you gave me a second, I could work out the exact number of minutes, too. Bye house, bye family, HELL YES. I think I'm a horrible person.
Sorry to hear about your living situation :< I'm sure you'll find a brilliant, well-paying job that has nothing to do with swimming pools. And I'd be up for that meme :'D

We could trade weather. I'd be ok with that.

It could always be worse. That's how I think about my life in general, and always, always, when I have to deal with family. Also: it's always something.

I think the meme should be about characters that don't even exist. Make something up!
