Movie trivia night!

We lost the first game and won the second. We got a $50 gift certificate to a cafe, but considering I've never heard of the cafe or the people on my team, I didn't really profit by it. It was fun, if only because I was the only one who could answer the "identify the actor by the characters he's played" questions. Sid Hudgins=Danny DeVito, baby!

There were several people playing who'd never heard of Paul Newman. Or Richard Burton. My house dean and I rolled our eyes at each other constantly.

Plus, they said The Sting took place in LA. That hurt.

Overall, it was good times.

[Poll #216307]

And if I could edit this poll, I would add as an option "The fact that I misspelled 'immensely,' quite possibly just because it looks closer to 'Wesley' when misspelled."

Is it wrong that I don't think either is pathetic? :) Pretty impressive actually. And not hearing of Paul Newman?? *dies of shock* The things they're teaching people today. Really.

Right on! Useless movie knowledge all the way!

And as for Paul Newman, my poor dean kept trying to explain that the man has a *salad dressing* named after him, but he wasn't getting through. And then there was the person who confused Basic Instinct with Edward Scissorhands...there was a lot of facepalming going on.

The day that Paul Newman is only known for Salad Dressing is just...a very very sad one. *facepalm* Basic Instinct. Edward Scissorhands. That's...an easy mistake. Really. Happens all the time. They both have sharp metal objects.
