Um. Why the fuck was Johnny Depp nominated for an Oscar for fucking PotC?

Hmm, I think Keller had a hand in writing that.

Now that I've gotten that out of my system, Mystic River!!!!!11111111111 I can't abide Tim Robbins' personal politics, but I still hope he wins. Same goes for Sean Penn. And Laura Linney totally got shafted.

Working on my storyboard now. It's not as hard as I thought it'd be.

I went into PotC with very low expectations - this was a result of my roommate at the time absolutely wetting herself at the mention of Mr. Depp. I was amazingly positive about the film by the time I left. Depp is a great actor.Whether I like him on a personal level or not (I personally don't have a figuring on it. I don't *care* about the chap.) doesn't figure in. He did a very good acting job. His portrayl of Cap'n Sparrow was very good.

Now, I think that if he qualified for THAT nomination... then Sean Astin BEYOND qualified for Best Supporting Actor. That has me riled. Just because he's playing a Hobbit. In any other film, a performance like that would have gotten him up there, I think. He's more deserving of it BECAUSE of the genre of the film, in my opinion. The numbers can't be wrong. =/
