Well. Not sure I like this turn of events, despite it obviously making Alan very happy. I keep thinking of Mulder and Scully sleeping together in season 2 (not sure how that would fit into the timeline, though, what with Scully being abducted and all).
I keep trying to dismiss the scene as some sort of dream sequence. It does have a dreamlike (and almost theatrical) quality to it. However, I don't think DEK's quite sophisticated enough to pull that off.
I like the idea of Alan quitting, or attempting to quit, in the next ep. Okay. If they portray it as both a reaction to the firm, the environment there (specifcally Lewiston), and his inability to deal with his relationship with Tara, then I think it could be interesting. I was going to say I wouldn't like it if it was just sort of an "I quit" moment of protest without any thought behind it, but Alan doesn't do those. Hopefully, we'll be safe.
Again with this ep. The editing. Although I suppose it's the writing as well. While the two main storylines both pertained to adultery, there was no intersection, no indication that they were even part of the same show. And then there was the Denny-Sally thing, which...was like five minutes long. They need to hire Joss Whedon to help them balance all these characters or something.
And no Brad :( But also no title sequence. Like, seriously. Editing problems. I'm concerned that the show hasn't even found a workable format yet.
And I missed the Arrested Development premiere.

There was less random techno music. That's a plus. The random slow-mo scenes - not cute. The acting was, of course, wonderful - but then, that's all the show has going for it. A plot would be nice. But, meh.
I love DEK, I really do - what he did with TP was beautiful. However, he needs to grab a few people from his former staff at TP to balance things out. The episodes are too choppy and too... random, for lack of a better term.

It makes me sad. I really did get into the Practice and I wanted BL to be good.
