Name a fandom you know I know and I'll tell you:
1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise
Reply or I'll feel unloved!
I'd so slap Alan. And he'd like it.

:)
If it's simply impossible, then obviously the second choice is Boston Legal.
Alan would like it, dear. He's such a slut for authority. ;)

I think I can do Holmes, but it'll be interesting, because I first read the books in second grade and I haven't really been doing much in the fandom lately.
1. The first character I first fell in love with
Holmes. This has to be true of everyone in the fandom. I think I read A Study in Scarlet first, and the scene where he and Watson meet is so memorable. He's all secluded in the chem lab (right, I'm sure Conan Doyle called it that) and jumping around because he discovered some obscure chemical having to do with bloodstains.
And I love his arrogance (because arrogance is so logical! modesty is just lying about one's abilities!) and his fierce devotion to Watson and the scene where he straightens the bent poker in...I think it's "The Speckled Band." And he delivers some great insults.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Probably Watson. Since I read the books when I was younger, I always thought of him as the sidekick (which, you know, he is) and kinda dumb and slow on the uptake. This is probably influenced to some extent by House where I love and adore Wilson, the Watson-like character, but now I admire his loyalty and the fact that he can recognize what a genius Holmes is and stand by him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Hmmm. Is there a universally beloved character in Holmes fandom? I mean, besides Holmes. I can't think of anyone.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I like some weird characters, but I don't know if they're hated. I like Mycroft. I like the irregulars. Maybe if I reread the novels I could come up with a client I like, but...Oh, I like Moriarty, but more for the fanfic possibilities, not for who he is.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Can't think of anyone. There's so much love in this fandom! Clearly!
6. The character I would shag anytime
Holmes.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Holmes again. Not that I don't appreciate Watson's good qualities, but I'd rather be a crazy mad genius who works out of his study and does cocaine than a doctor.
8. The character I'd slap
Watson. Oh, probably both of them, at various points.
9. A pairing that I love
Well, I'd love to see Holmes/Moriarty. The idea of pairing Holmes with anyone is kind of ridiculous, but...
10. A pairing that I despise
I don't despise it, but I'm not a fan of Holmes/Mary Russell. I hate all the novels that pair him with some random woman who was the sekrit love of his life (I read one where they not only had that, she turned out to be his sister).
And that's all. See below for BL ;)
As for Alan and slapping, I dunno when you started watching, but back on The Practice the mother of one of his clients actually did slap him, made to slap him again, and he said, "Nobody slaps me twice. At least not in the face."

*purrs at Alan* Rawr!

First: Boston Legal (because, yay!)
Second (heh): TM

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Alan. The first ep of The Practice I saw was Alan's second ep and I taped it as an afterthought because it was Spader and my friend had reminded me he'd joined the cast. Then I came home after class (Queer Cinema and Medicine!), watched it and immediately after posted "OMFG I love James Spader's character on The Practice." I didn't even know his damn name. But yeah, that ep has him hiring a friend of his who thinks God speaks to her and the way he interacts with her...he was just so thoughtful and caring (and he kissed her hand!) and he totally laid the smackdown on opposing counsel during a settlement conference.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
You won't believe this, but Denny. I didn't like William Shatner and when I heard he was going to be on the show, I was not pleased. I found Denny to be obnoxious and kind of a stupid character. I really didn't like the whole repeating his name thing. I saw him as a joke character, and not a very funny one.
That changed partially when Alan started liking him, I think (character bleed!) because I was forced to consider why, but also I think the writers made a few changes in the transition to Boston Legal. He's a lot more outlandish, but he can be more serious as well, especially with Schmidt (do you even know who she is?) back at the office.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
I can't think of anyone. There's a Brad contingent that I really don't understand most of the time, but the most-loved characters are Alan, Denny and Shirely, and rightfully so, I think.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I sort of love Garrett. Except for his hair. I like his eagerness and his sincerity and the fact that he reminds me (somewhat) of the way I write little!Alan. And the fact that he's ridiculously submissive. That said, he can also be annoying.
I really like Lori and Paul. Lori can be hysterical at certain times...there are moments when she can't help but laugh at what Alan's doing, even as she's trying to be all upright and responsible, and she's really the most down-to-earth in a Chloe-from-24 kind of way. She makes...well, not a lot, but a few really tactless/blunt remarks that I find hysterical. And I don't like Paul so much as a character, but he's a good sport, and the guy who plays him is freaking hilarious. Paul's basically the only sane one in the office and his job is to clean up everybody's messes. I sometimes entertain myself by thinking of things from his perspective. His eyes are constantly bugging out of his head and he's always looking like he's going to have an aneurysm.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
That doesn't really apply, since they keep doing away with characters too quickly for me to fall out of love with them. I don't like what they did with Tara on Boston Legal--she wasn't on that much, and then only as a counterpoint/girlfriend to Alan. I'm rewatching The Practice and she actually works on cases; she even tries a case, which we never see in BL. She's much more active, whereas on BL she got to be reactive.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Haha. Alan, obviously.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Alan again. Do I have to say why? I don't think I have to say why.
8. The character I'd slap
Alan
and he'd like it.Sometimes I do, in fact, want to slap him.The character who most deserves to be slapped is probably Sally or one of the characters they brought in at the end of The Practice and then fired over the summer before BL started. Hannah Rose or Gina Gershon's character. Ugh.
9. A pairing that I love
Alan/Tara. OTP!! I love platonic Alan/Denny. Oh, Denny/Shirley. Yes.
10. A pairing that I despise
Alan/Sally. I can see the purpose of it, but...ugh. It was so...I did not like Sally at all.

I've seen one episode of BL! Go me! I liked it a lot, and it was insanely awesome. Which is redundant, of course, but, yes. Liked it a lot. =D And, yes, Lori is FUNNY. *g* Can't wait to try catching an episode of it later!

Other than that, yeah. The thing between him and that girl got to be really stupid, but I enjoyed his threatening to beat up the priest. I have no idea what they're going to do with the newbies, since they haven't been on that much lately, except for Denise. Garrett can be the shoe-shine boy.

Was Michael. That's either extremely common or extremely uncommon. I first saw Arrested sort of out of the corner of my eye when I was visiting my friend. She had her illegal DVDs of the first season on in the background, and I probably heard a few of Michael's wisecracks. I like that he's more or less a good guy, he cares for his son a great deal, and is sarcastic.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Hmmm. Maybe GOB? He won me over right away with "A trick is something a whore does for money...or candy," but I didn't expect him to end up my favorite. I love
all the Bluthcest the writers allowhis scenes with Michael. Maybe Maeby.3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Annyong? Does everyone love him? He got kind of old. I don't like Lucille, but I think everyone loves to hate her. Tobias is freaking hilarious most of the time, but I don't like him...uh, on a personal level. I like him as the punchline of a joke. I don't like his character that much. I didn't like Kitty that much.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I have no idea. Carl Weathers? Ice? Everyone on Arrested is pretty damn awesome. Otherwise they wouldn't be on.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Eh, no one. The characters have either risen in my estimation or stayed the same.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Michael. I'd shag George Michael once he was legal. I'd *bleep* GOB.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Hahaha, Maeby. She's charming and funny (no, I do not wish to date her) and the consummate bullshit artist. Plus, she gets to make out with George Michael.
8. The character I'd slap
Michael, simply because I don't think it would resonate with anyone else.
9. A pairing that I love
George Michael/Maeby, Michael/GOB yesIknowit'swrong
10. A pairing that I despise
Lindsay/Tobias

But I LOVE Ice. Ice is hilarious. We just got the episodes with him. And GOB on the cover of Poof.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Was Keller. Which was a neat trick, since I watched the episodes in order, but my introduction to Oz was actually through a fic by
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Maybe Rebadow or Hill? I didn't pay much attention to them in the beginning, but Rebadow and Busmalis are definitely two of my favorites.
I don't love Schillinger, but I like the guy a lot more than certain other characters.
And if anyone out there loves Said, for the record, I STILL HATE HIM.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
I don't really love Cyril. I like him, I love him and Ryan, but there's no undying love for Cyril.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Hahahaha, I like McManus and Murphy.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Nobody, but I'm sure once they release season six that'll change.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Ignoring possible diseases and the fact that he'd kill me/break limbs, Keller.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Oh, Keller. Nah, maybe O'Reily? Although he can be a dumbass. Sister Pete? Keller could hit on me.
8. The character I'd slap
SAID. Oh my god. And Jason Priestley's character, although didn't he get bricked into a wall and then lit on fire? That was sufficient.
9. A pairing that I love
Beecher/Keller, just not in certain fic.
10. A pairing that I despise
O'Reily/any man. HE IS NOT GAY.

Mulder. It probably happened when I saw the Pilot...the first eps I saw were really grainy because I didn't get good Fox reception, so I was buying all those overpriced tapes. But yeah, it was probably the scene in the Pilot where Scully goes down to his office and he's hidden away in the basement with those hot glasses on.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Scully. I always liked her, but I really didn't appreciate how badass she was until...far too late. I think she was overshadowed by my Mulderlove.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
The Lone Gunmen. They're okay...I sort of like Byers, but I don't think they're that funny. And the less said about the spinoff, the better.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Hmmm. I recall some love for Kritschgau, but I think that was just because of his name. I might've had some love for Jeffrey Spender, until they blew off his face or whatever that was.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Krycek. Sad but true. I'd have to rewatch to see if there's anything still there, but I really cannot fathom anymore why he was my favorite. Aside from the fact that he was hot. Maybe up to season 5 I still like him, but I wish CC had given him a coherent character arc instead of using him as the go-to guy for nefarious plots. He ended up (like most things on The X-Files) making no sense.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Probably Mulder. Skinner. Pendrell!
7. The character I'd want to be like
Scully.
8. The character I'd slap
Oh, man. FOWLEY. Remember the I Hate Fowley site I made?
9. A pairing that I love
Mulder/Scully, umm...that's about it. Well, the "You're in love with Agent Scully...BLEEEEEH" pairing, of course.
10. A pairing that I despise
Any pairing involving Doggett or Reyes. Not that neither of them deserve a relationship (although Reyes doesn't)...just not with anyone on the show.
Mulder/Fowley. Sick. Sick sick sick.
