3pipeproblem: (As long as we're dressed like this...why)

Name a fandom you know I know and I'll tell you:

1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

Reply or I'll feel unloved!

I'd so slap Alan. And he'd like it.

Randomly, the one where they're defending the teacher who taught creationism. Soooo good.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I liked that one. Except for the creationism SL, actually, but I did like Denny saying "This is boring crap" during the trial. So glad you got to see Shirley in action.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought it was entertaining, but mostly because we had just been discussing creationism and intelligent design in Sociology, so seeing it on BL was kind of ironic.

But! TM! *pokes you*

I'll have to do it later :( Polish people have invaded my house and I'm running off to see a movie.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
All right, here we go. I'm going to have to beg off a few of these, for obvious reasons.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Wow, I never realized how redundantly that was phrased. I was in TM from the beginning, so you're going to get a lot of nonexistent pups here. [livejournal.com profile] detective_munch and [livejournal.com profile] subtle_art (John Munch from Homicide and SVU; Robert "Pusher" Modell from The X-Files). I signed up for TM by myself, but convinced a couple people from my old RPG to join. Munch's mun was one of them, and she wrote him really well. He's a difficult character to write, in my opinion, but that could just be because I find every Homicide character difficult to write. Anyway, she was really good at capturing his humor and cynicism but still keeping his underlying idealism intact. She was also really good at writing Munch rants--which is basically what he's known for on the show. Alan associated with Munch and Rob in the beginning (oh, and Perry, who I didn't appreciate as much at the time as I do now). I also fell in love with the Casey Affleck we had, because I think he and Alan had some thread where they joined forced to annoy God (yes, TM had a God at one point).

Well, okay. I loved Alan first of all ;)

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
I never expected to love Jimmy as much as I do now, and I mean this as a compliment. I remember him showing up out of nowhere to Kitty's Seder with that weird icon I could've sworn was of Michael J. Fox and I was just like "...who the hell is that?" But then I started reading his topic responses and I love that he and Alan get to interact and the fact that a character like him can exist in TM, where everyone's hellbent on being the biggest badass around.

[livejournal.com profile] so_manytimes is Reese Witherspoon character, she's from a Kiefer Sutherland movie I refuse to see (which is basically unprecedented) and she's not terribly educated, so I didn't expect to like her at all, but she's friggin' hilarious. Without exception.

And I really didn't expect to end up loving David as much as I did. In the beginning, he was hanging out with a lot of the Seans and Viggos and getting into trouble--I didn't really feel anything in particular for him. Hahaha, in fact, I think Viggo has an UGLY UGLY FACE, so he probably had that counted against him, too. Needless to say, all that changed.

Oh, Aidan grew on me too ;)

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Oh, I can't do this in terms of TM. Maybe about the pup themself, but not the way they're written.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don't think there are hated characters in TM. Hmmm, I dunno.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
I have to plead the 5th again.

6. The character I would shag anytime
Hahahaha. Caleb. I would also, for the record, shag Warren and probably Jimmy. Hugh Laurie, who needs to update more, dammit.

7. The character I'd want to be like
Oh, I really don't know. There are too many options. Hahaha, maybe Kermit or Samwise. They're the only pups I consistently read and go "Awww, what a good person/being." (Jimmy makes me do that, too, but I'm trying not to talk about him all the time.) Sam Seaborn, who is long-retired, if I may cheat.

8. The character I'd slap
I would slap Callie--and Alan likes Callie most of the time, but I'm sure Calliemun wouldn't pass up an opportunity to slap him in return. She's so innocent that sometimes I just want her to wake up.

9. A pairing that I love
I looove Jimmy/Caleb. Does it have to be a real pairing? If not, Joe/Alan is the pairing that makes me giggle whenever I think about it. Woody/anyone would make me happy. Oh, Woody grew on me! Which is apparently what he does in canon as well.

I liked Alan/Lilah. HAHAHAAH, Alan-dressed-as-Kirk/Darla/Angelus. That was so cracktastic.

10. A pairing that I despise
Psh, no comment. I guess I can do hypotheticals...involving my pups...nah. Alan/Todd would just be bad.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-29 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. Alan/Todd would make me puke. And I'm already blushing, so it wouldn't be a pretty picture. And I'm definitely checking out the Witherspoon character.

Alan-dressed-as-Kirk/Darla/Angelus. That was so cracktastic.
Okay, you're not allowed to mention that without linking to it. It's a federal offense.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
This is where it starts. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/tm_wolframhart/9565.html?thread=119389#t119389) Darla and Angel had costumes that made them revert to their vampiric selves and Alan (who had never met Angel before) was oblivious. Actually, he thought Angelus was a funny, funny guy.

And the whole time we were sending each other e-mails like "Well, I dunno what the hell Alan's problem is, but he likes Angelus" and "Alan is a tasty treat!" It was so amusing.

Oh, and it ends with a Star Trek innuendo. Amazing.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Hee! That's awesome. And I had no idea about this party! It seems a hell of a lot more safe than the Luxuria one (sexually speaking). I would've sent Jimmy there.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Awww. There were a lot of posts about it. I wasn't going to send Alan, since it's an evil rival firm where Tucker works, but got ruthlessly prodded until he showed up. Oh yes. Jimmy in costume would be so cute.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
*g* I think he was going to go as either a vampire or a milkman this year.

And, oh, I read the Alan/Tara and it was so delicate. And Alan leaving with the 'live long and prosper' sign... gah.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
A vampire could've ended interestingly.

HAHAHAHA. Talk about sentences I never expected to read. He misses her so much. It can be distressing. He's gonna have to tell someone at some point, and it might very well be Jimmy. I apologize in advance.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Heh heh heh. Ever since the failed "everyone's a vampire!" universe, I've had a vamp!Jimmy buried, but ready to play. And he's fun.

He wouldn't mind in the slightest.

Jimmy and Caleb are flying through Boston to get to Japan and staying a while before they hop off to Tokyo. So! On another note, this affords me the opportunity to watch Caleb take Alan to a speed-dating thingy.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
OMG. Wanna do vamp!Jimmy and vamp!Alan sometime?

Poor Jimmy cops all the Tara stuff because he's British.

Hahahaha, I think the only experience I have with speed-dating is through The Forty-Year-Old Virgin. That would be great, though.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
SURE! Yes! Yes.

Hee. It's the price one must pay for having a sexy accent and pale skin.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Alas, I'm about to go to bed right now, but soon. I could make a comm just for that purpose if you want.

Tara had a very nice tan.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
That she did. Jimmy's no idea how she managed it.

We could just borrow [livejournal.com profile] nextgenaurelius, which is currently defunct, but a happy vampy grounds for play.

Sleep well. =)

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Not being in England might've had a lot to do with it.

Hahahaha, the usernames are too amusing. Is it open membership?

Ok. I really am going to bed.

[identity profile] the-calcium-tm.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. Yeah. Although Hawaii didn't really do much for Pasty Milkman, here, so. Maybe good genes, also.

*g* I think so. [livejournal.com profile] bloodprey's Jimmy. Heh heh heh. It was a fun little messed-up adventure.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, we can do it there. I don't think so good at night.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No worries. It was a fair bit more late for you than it was for me.

It'll probably change as soon as I say it, but it's looking like it's shaping up to be a fairly lazy day at the office. Wanna start now?

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
We can start, but I have to leave for the airport in about an hour and a half to fly to Arizona. Other than that, though, I'm free for the next 10 days.

[identity profile] 3pipeproblem.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, my dad lives out there. His house has a pool, 4 cats, 2 rabbits, and a bunch of ducks and a goose living in the yard.

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
*g* That's awesome. And it'll be a great change from very cold to very warm. You could even get a tan!

[identity profile] i-warren.livejournal.com 2005-12-29 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
>>I would also, for the record, shag Warren<<

Yes. You will bow to the mighty sexosity of The Meers. Everybody wants some.
