AHAHAHA I TOO HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM WATCHING Grey's. Oh, man. Did you read the saga of me losing a bet and having to watch an episode (granted, the person I lost to was very kind and bought me a pint of Stephen Colbert ice cream to eat during the ordeal)? The episode featured AD Skinner from The X-Files with a FISH IN HIS URETHRA. It also contained the (serious OMFG) line "You are my penis fish."

But I digress.

It does sound like a sound example of the smooth way they turn patients into inappropriate metaphors for the personal problems of the doctors. In another episode there was something about a gangrenous foot that would have to be removed representing someone's avoidance issues? I can't be sure, I was pretty busy laughing.
