(no subject)

I just got a raise for no reason for working mornings!

I gave in and picked up Keller at [livejournal.com profile] theatrical_muse. Goodbye, sanity. It was nice knowing you.

Other than that, the most interesting thing that happened lately (besides rewatching The Crying Game for film) was this girl came to our Future Noir class drastically overprepared. We were supposed to be having an informal discussion of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (which I watched on fast forward *snerk*) and she launched into an explanation of lighting and listed the number of each stringed instrument and I really wanted to burst out laughing. I think all of the writing seminars are doomed to be forever off topic, but I can live with that.

Damn, I meant to write in and request The Maltese Falcon for my project. Oh well.

I finally got some sleep, so my head no longer hurts. It's nice.

You know, there's something overly amusing about that icon

Ah, Keller. Everyone loves him.

Future Noir? That sounds like such a cool class! I don't blame you, yeah it's supposed to be a classic but my god...can we say SLOW? Stringed instruments? *giggle* That's just sad.

Welcome to the insanity. :D

Well, I already had a pup. Now it's just a hell of a lot worse.

Ah, but you had sanity before, no? But now you don't. ::Nodnod.::

Oh, yes. That is true.

I love The Maltese Falcon (mostly because I've ended up using it a lot for California lit classes). Yay San Francisco!

Oh, I love it too. And it's required reading for our Mysteries in Film class (although the book's basically exactly the same as the movie).
