Things are looking up
Oct. 28th, 2003 01:17 pmHaving finished Diary (that only took about two months), I've started reading Nick Hornby's Songbook. So, so lovely. Anyone considering writing any sort of personal essays (a genre I've never managed to master) should read it, or at least one of his essays. I liked the one about Bob Dylan in particular, but they're all great. Each song has a different thematic meaning for him. It's really fascinating, and I'm already a good third of the way through the book. I just wish I'd read it before attempting to write college essays, but oh well.
Speaking of college, next semester's pilot courses look a lot better than this semester's. I'm either gonna take a course devoted entirely to Freud or one about pacts with the devil, either way, a good sight better than ethno-political conflict.
And 24 tonight. Today I got an article my mom had torn out of TV Guide, which contained exclusive spoilers (good timing, eh?)!
( Exclusive spoilers! )
