Mar. 30th, 2005 09:29 amGod help me, I almost have enough Alan/Ray songs for a playlist.
Went to see Martin Sheen speak last night. Got there so late I was in the last possible row. My head was up against the tech booth. I kid you not. It sounded like Martin Sheen, though, so I guess I'll take their word for it. He was a good speaker--told funny stories about his bad memory and such--and whoever writes his stuff is pretty damn clever. There were even Oscar Wilde references. But in the end, his message boiled down to "be a good person"/"war is bad." Honestly, I don't know that you can expect much more from an actor and it was said very prettily and I discovered he was from Ohio, so it wasn't what I'd call a waste. The seats did make my legs cramp.
Paper due Tuesday for autobiographical/family films, but after that, I'm done with the class. Joshua Braff visits on Saturday, so I'm trying to whizz through his book this week. It's not going so badly--it's a pretty amusing read.
