Well, I went dorm shopping today. Ended up with a comforter/duvet (someone please explain the difference) that was blue and had old school cars with surfboards on it. I don't know why, and it's not like it really matters. I brought Toby along and watched Back to the Future in the car, which was novel. My mom kept trying to peek at it while driving, though.
Otherwise, I have done nothing today. I downloaded Kazaa and proceeded to spend like two hours downloading U2's cover of "All Along the Watchtower," which is nowhere as good as the original. How disappointing. I compiled a list of Beecher/Keller song recommendations and am currently downloading them. Hopefully I won't be arrested anytime soon.
I finished 5x2 of Oz, except I apparently stopped at the episode's zenith. Everything afterwards involved Cloutier, and boy, was it stupid. But Keller's in 5x3!
I watched Hearts in Atlantis last night (of course, I decided to start watching it at 10 so I wasn't done till midnight). I'd seen it before, and it improved on the second viewing. Not that it needed to, because I thought it was amazing on the first. You're probably assuming that it's all about Anthony Hopkins being this persecuted psychic guy on the run, because that's how they marketed it. That's not what it's about at all. It's a coming of age story, along the lines of Stand by Me but less humorous and more...lyrical, I guess. It's mainly about this young boy's realtionship with Anthony Hopkins' character, and how he grows up because of it. I just love the way the thing is shot. It starts out with the older version of the boy, and the movie is all gray and rainy. Then it flashes back and everything is brighter, and just a little blurry around the edges. It's a very nostalgic movie. It's also very powerful. Why aren't there any movies like this out right now? I mean, I could go see Whale Rider, but I'm cheap.
Hmmm, U2 altered the lyrics to "Watchtower." Not a wise decision, I'm afraid.
I don't have much else to say. I have a water polo tournament this weekend. On the one hand, it's something to do. On the other hand, I don't want to spend all my time at the pool.

Me: I love it when it rains. No customers come in.
Zach: Are you only happy when it rains? Are you only happy when the news is bad?
