I had a good day at the horse races yesterday. Got a good $20 out of it, since my dad was spotting the cash for the bets. My first two horses came in first, and three of the others at least placed. I picked the first one because the jockey happened to have the same name as Christian Bale's character in Empire of the Sun...I love how these things work.

I thought the horse races were pretty damn fun, what with the crazy names and the binoculars and the stupid kids behind us yelling "NUMBER TWO!!" Right, maybe not the kids...My sisters seemed to think otherwise, so they're not invited to come on my birthday. Unfortunately, my dad may have moved to India by then...wow, that was a roundabout paragraph.

I finished Kavalier & Clay which was a lovely, lovely book that I must write lovely, lovely fic for. The only problem is that I don't really ship Kavalier/Clay. Deasey/Clay I could see...I'm now onto The Black Dahlia, which is actually very similar. Except that it's written by James Ellroy, so...not.

It's raining. A lot. I woke up in the middle of a huge thunderstorm and thought, "I should charge my ipod in case the power goes out." I didn't and it didn't, but this just goes to show you I'm a loser. In case you had any doubts.

Horse races are a lot of fun. The kids and your dad moving to India? *confused*

Oooh Black Dahlia rocks! I love James Ellroy, hard boiled angsty detective novels. Mm.

Yeah...that paragraph was less than coherent. My dad may be moving there for a few months.

I'm enjoying it so far, my spanish teacher recommended it to me a long time ago.

fic?

Hello ^_^. Um, a while ago I was looking around for some usual suspects fan fiction (and came up almost empty handed! There's one, maybe two tops, pieces of Usual Suspects fanfiction online, it's disgraceful.)and I happened upon the piece that you wrote a while ago.

The conversation between Verbal and Keaton. First I wanted to say that it was awesome ^_^. Really, it was great, perfectly in character. And I wanted to know if it was the only piece you'd written for this fandom. If so, is there anyway you could be persuaded to write more? ^_____^

Awww, thanks so much for the wonderful feedback. I didn't see this until I went poking around and LJ hasn't been sending comments, so I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier. That's the only one I've written, but I suppose I could be persuaded...your icon is very inspirational, for one thing ;)
