Resolved: Brad Chase is a loser.

I beg to differ. Brad is straightforward, ethical, courageous, handsome, extremely intelligent, and a gentlemen. As far as I'm concerned, he has the attributes that makes me terribly horny.

I can understand how a person like Alan would feel insecure around Brad. By the way, my dear boy, I would work on your delivery. You sound like a queen and I don't mean the Queen of England.

Straightforward, ethical gentlemen are invariably losers. Anyone who abides by the rules all the time does so only because he lacks the imagination to deviate. As for courageous, handsome and extremely intelligent, he must be going to great lengths to disguise these attributes because the Brad Chase I'm familiar with has only one predominant personality trait--his propensity to whine. Granted, it's at least done at top speed.

More to the point, I've never seen him win.

Which pisses Mark Valley fans like myself off to no end.

I actually yelled "Shut up, Brad!" at one point. Which sucks because I was SO pumped to see MV back on TV.

None of your points are based in any fact or even presented as opinion. They are merely negative, fictional and, obviously, without reference.

First, to refute:
1. Abiding by the rules lacks imagination - Rather, it shows strength of character. There are ways you can follow the law and still find a positive outcome. Just because one can think of deviant alternatives, doesn't mean they must employ them.
2. Not courageous - He diffused the courtroom bomber in 'Greater Good' and puts his life on the line for ideals and freedom in the Marines.
3. Handsome - while this is subjective, his symmetry and build do fall in line with conventions.
4. Intelligent - West Point and law school aside, one doesn't rise to the top of a competitive field without intellect. To find legal resolutions that aid the client, rather than cheating, takes a vast understanding of all the laws.
5. Whines - On occasion, Brad will state dissatisfaction with Alan's lack of... well, many things. It's called conversation.
6. Never seen him win - His client was found not guilty of murder in 'Hired Guns', due in large part to an excellent cross of a witness. He did lose the shopping mall development case to Donny. Those are the only two cases we've seen, so it's 50/50. [Alan lost the sexual harassment case to Christine, lost the pharmaceutical case and the slum lord case.]

More could, and will, be said of his good qualities, but not in this comment.

A word to Bravo - I would have thought you could come up with a single positive. You need to look beyond 'Catch and Release'.

Ooooh, numbered points. Do those show strength of character? Or just dispense with transitions.

1. Hahaha, okay. First episode, the woman whose husband wants the kids, blah blah blah was Brad's client. Working within the very narrow framework he imposes on himself, Brad couldn't resolve the situation favorably. Alan, on the other hand, could, and with relative ease.

2. I didn't say he wasn't courageous, but he can't be both courageous and intelligent. It hardly ever works that way. Furthermore, courage doesn't necessarily make one less of a loser.

3. If only he could muster a facial expression of any kind.

4. Those are all inferred. There's no direct evidence that he's at all intelligent. Hahahaha, who placed him at the top of the field? Certainly wasn't me. And cheating, as I'm sure you're aware, requires vast knowledge of the rules.

5. Not when the pitch is high enough to shatter glass.

6. I maintain that Lori won that case. She probably prepared the questions for him. And Alan won the sexual harassment case--just for a lesser amount than Christine's offer--lost the pharmaceutical case on purpose and...bleh, I'm sick and can't remember what happened with the slum lord case.

Hahahaha, I'm sure more will be said. I look forward to it.

Miss Hornypenny cannot understand why there seems to be so much hatred for Brad. From where I stand (actually, in this case, on all fours), you can go back and forth all you want and it will be fruitless. Miss Hornypenny has better things to do with her time, as does Brad. Besides, Brad will be too busy tending to my needs and the lot of you can debate your all you friggin' want. Ta-ta and tally ho!
