First of all, let me get this out of my system. Awwwwwwwwwww. Alan got hugged twice in one episode and declared his love for Denny.
I liked the case with Jerry, although I still can't figure out wtf was with the dead woman's lover, Rene (well, other than "she was a cylon"). Her whole shift in character on the stand was never explained to my satisfaction. Other than that, man. Jerry cross-examining the cop was great, and even better were Alan's reactions. I've reached the conclusion that any scene can be made three times as funny (or moving) by periodic shots of Alan reacting to it. The whole "human polygraph" thing came out of nowhere
As for the kidnapping arc, I dunno. I somehow wound up liking Lincoln (and loving Shirley, but that's a given) by the end of it, which is a big coup on the writer's part. It was interesting to see Shirley analyzing him, feeling for him, headbutting him...Hahaha, I loved Alan walking in on all the lawyers, all of them at a loss as to what to do, and just like that saying, "He called me to say he had her." Oh, lawbreaking!Alan. You are dearly missed. The Brad-Coho rivalry was likewise amusing.
Aaaand the scene at the end with Alan and Shirley. I love how she tells him off and threatens to fire him and he knows it's her way of thanking him. And I love how she tells him to get a life. It's about time someone recognized the fact that Alan is an enormous dork.
Other than that, I've been feeling sick, and we workshop my horrible, horrible creative writing story today. 2/3 of it consists of a scene I know I'm going to cut. Good times.

Hahaha, thanks.

Date: 2006-11-30 01:35 am (UTC)I feel like BL has a great eye for actors who play weird characters that are supposed to last one or two eps--and then it goes so well they keep coming back. But somehow they can't seem to make some of their regulars very interesting. It's strange.

Date: 2006-11-30 04:23 am (UTC)Is Jerry going to be a regular? With the amount of screen time he's had he should at least be in the credits. I mean, he's lasted longer than Garrett.

Date: 2006-12-01 12:23 am (UTC)I dunno. Spoilers for the next three eps don't mention him, so I think he'll be gone for awhile, at least. He was fired by the firm (well, I guess technically he quit), so it doesn't really make sense to make him a regular.
