First of all, let me get this out of my system. Awwwwwwwwwww. Alan got hugged twice in one episode and declared his love for Denny.

I liked the case with Jerry, although I still can't figure out wtf was with the dead woman's lover, Rene (well, other than "she was a cylon"). Her whole shift in character on the stand was never explained to my satisfaction. Other than that, man. Jerry cross-examining the cop was great, and even better were Alan's reactions. I've reached the conclusion that any scene can be made three times as funny (or moving) by periodic shots of Alan reacting to it. The whole "human polygraph" thing came out of nowhere it was like Jerry revealed his superpower! but isn't entirely implausible, I guess. Jerry probably doesn't use the same visual cues most people do to get an idea of whether or not someone's telling the truth. They should probably give him a rest for now, since he's been in so many episodes, but I'd like to see him back again. Also, I don't think Alan's tried a case that's not Jerry-related this season, which is sort of annoying.

As for the kidnapping arc, I dunno. I somehow wound up liking Lincoln (and loving Shirley, but that's a given) by the end of it, which is a big coup on the writer's part. It was interesting to see Shirley analyzing him, feeling for him, headbutting him...Hahaha, I loved Alan walking in on all the lawyers, all of them at a loss as to what to do, and just like that saying, "He called me to say he had her." Oh, lawbreaking!Alan. You are dearly missed. The Brad-Coho rivalry was likewise amusing.

Aaaand the scene at the end with Alan and Shirley. I love how she tells him off and threatens to fire him and he knows it's her way of thanking him. And I love how she tells him to get a life. It's about time someone recognized the fact that Alan is an enormous dork.

Other than that, I've been feeling sick, and we workshop my horrible, horrible creative writing story today. 2/3 of it consists of a scene I know I'm going to cut. Good times.

Denny's jealousy was just the best, ever. And Jerry - God, I love him. I'd like to mun him :)

Good luck with the creative writing.

Denny angst is the best, because of course it's Shatner angsting, which tends to make me want to laugh, but it's also so sad. The scene where he was staring forlornly out the window in his office...

I'd love a Jerry! He'd be hard to write, though. He's just so smart. I bet a topic response of his would be overwhelming. And contain footnotes and case citations.

Hahaha, thanks.

I loved that Lincoln went from being very annoying to me to my liking him. I'm thinking the guy who plays him is a very good actor and that the show has an eye for good actors who can give depth to the off-beat characters.

Yeah, I should probably give the actor some credit, shouldn't I? I actually started to like him a little during Sunday's ep, when he was posing in the lineup (whacking Gracie Jane didn't hurt either).

I feel like BL has a great eye for actors who play weird characters that are supposed to last one or two eps--and then it goes so well they keep coming back. But somehow they can't seem to make some of their regulars very interesting. It's strange.

*cough* Get well soon! I think Nicole got us both sick with her e-germs.

I did watch last night. Ahhhh, had forgotten how much I love BL and how I go into withdrawal when I don't get it.

I second everything you said, Jerry love, all of it, but super-especially-- SHIRLEY FOR THE FUCKING WIN.

God, I love that woman.

HAHAHAHA. Your icon.

Shirley is amazing. I just wish they'd give her a case or two to try. Something.

My thoughts exactly! They really should use Shirley more. As amusing as it is when Alan hits on her I wish she'd serve another purpose.

Is Jerry going to be a regular? With the amount of screen time he's had he should at least be in the credits. I mean, he's lasted longer than Garrett.

Everyone in the office (except Brad and Paul, both of whom must clearly be gay) is obsessed with sleeping with her. It's like she's season one Alan!

I dunno. Spoilers for the next three eps don't mention him, so I think he'll be gone for awhile, at least. He was fired by the firm (well, I guess technically he quit), so it doesn't really make sense to make him a regular.
