Oh, this story I'm writing wrote this morning for my creative writing class. Basically, I came up with a cool idea, procrastinated, wrote the requisite 3 pages for workshop but had no idea where they were going, procrastinated some more, and wrote another 4 pages that may or may not bear any relation to the first three.

Yes.

The problem is that my prof wants stories where people overcome conflict and learn and grow. I want stories where I describe the setting a lot and people talk. Crap, I think "Hills Like White Elephants" fits that description.
