Yeah, I don't think I'm cut out to be a pinch hitter. I spent most of my time wibbling over the min word count and had to nix a really great idea because of time constraints.

I've been running a ficathon ( jbbs ) this year, and I've nearly died from all of it. And it was only 20 stories. HOW DOES WHOEVER IS RUNNING YULETIDE NOT GO INSANE?

Oh, I have no idea. The mods are AMAZING. There's some sort of program that generates assignments and a mailing list for people wanting to "pinch hit"--write for people whose original authors dropped out. Other than that, they're just tirelessly answering questions and fixing glitches and I would totally have lost it by now if I were them.

Incidentally, JBBS is perhaps the greatest ficathon name ever.
