Yeah. Stayed up till 5:30 RPing, which is so addictive it's not even funny. Fortunately, I had only one class today, and we spent most of it Nelson Mandela-bashing. In a respectful way, of course. We just debated whether or not he was a control freak. I personally think he has a Yoda complex. Either way, he is annoying and pretentious and should not be allowed to corrupt a subject as interesting as prison with his ham-fisted metaphors about leadership.
Afterwards I had lunch with two girls from the class. We collectively squeed over teachers, Shakespeare, and The Great Gatsby. That conversation marked the first time college lived up to my expectations. I then went on a quest to find a copy of Primal Fear (the novel) and ended up with The World of Sherlock Holmes. Go figure. I should probably get some sleep, but I really wanna read it and take notes and be all scholarly.

Date: 2003-09-11 05:31 pm (UTC)As for Nelson Mandela, I confess I have not studied his life in depth. But from what I know of him and his work, I have no basis to contest what you have said. Rather, I find myself nodding in agreement.
Mou, wanna go home. Two classes left.
