Should I be concerned that when the "Which Shakespeare Heroine Are You" quiz asked "Who's your man?" I unhesitatingly checked "Iago"?
And yes. He's cooler than Hamlet.
Had Richard III been an option, I would have been torn.

You are...Iago. You're very smart, convincing, and
probably would make a good actor or politician.
You are quite adept to lying and manipulation,
and not very caring for others. You probably
don't look out for your reputation as much as
you look for your own pleasure. Your best
qualities are employed when you are in control
and that you could probably win most arguments,
but you probably find yourself in trouble
often.
Which character from William Shakespeare's Othello are you?

I. Did. Not. Cheat.
Demand me nothing, what you know you know.
You're Iago! Perhaps Shakespeare's most notorious
and personalitywise complex villain. Jealous of
his master Othello and his eloped bride,
Desdemona, he made Othello jealous of her,
insinuating that she cheated with his formet
liutenant, Cassio (she was totally innocent).
Iago is a highly psychological villain with an
element of genius, yet morally base. The truly
horrifying thing about Iago is his lack of a
realistic motive, and he may be seen as
representing true evil.
Iago quotes:
"I am one, sir, that comes to tell you the
Moor and your daughter are making the beast
with two backs."
"Work on. My med'cine works! Thus credulous
fools are caught, and many worthy and chaste
dames even thus, all guiltless, meet
reproach."

Lack of motive? Pshaw, we all know he was in looooove with Othello. Although it's not as obvious as Bassanio/Antonio in Merchant of Venice.
