I feel ready to update this thing now that I've had some tasty scones from Don's. I've only recently discovered what an awesome store Don's is. They have British candy! Like Crunchie bars and Flakes! And everyone there is really nice and cheerful, even early in the morning. They honestly have a huge staff and I have no idea how they make any money because there wasn't anyone in the store, but it's such a lovely place to be. Much better than Jewel, which tires me out whenever I go there with the long lines and the wandering. And Clearly Canadian water is only 10 cents more than soda.

Oh, so Pirates of the Carribean (thought I'd forgotten all about it, eh?). The online consensus is that it rocks, and, well, it does. Orlando Bloom is a crappy actor and the love story absolutely sucked. It was quite possibly the least believable love story I've ever seen, with the exception of Reyes/Doggett. But anyway, the good things. Johnny Depp. Quirky and funny and cute and continually getting bitch slapped. He was amazing. He made the movie, basically. I loved his first scene when they're playing intense high-seas pirate music and he's standing tall on top of the mast...and then the camera tilts and you see that he's like 4 feet off the deck in a boat full of water. And when he takes off his hat for the dead pirates...and his ending speech ("It would never have worked out between us."). Geoffrey Rush was good, but he didn't have much to work with. I liked his little parley, though, with Elizabeth. That was good. The writers did a good job taking advantage of all the wonderful things pirates have to offer. YAAAAR!

"Cuts Like a Knife"...God, just typing out the name is depressing me. I'm gonna go cry. The last fifteen minutes are brutal. But in a good, angsty way. Some classic Keller. Knocking Beecher out, the scene between the two of them. Maybe the reason I haven't watched Oz in a whole day is that Keller is gone. It was so sweet. And then McManus got shived and Murphy cradled him in his arms...And Brad confirmed my suspicions about season 6 after I watched it, which made me all the more depressed (thanks a lot, fuckass). But knowing that Beecher gets parole, I couldn't see it ending any other way. Unless Beecher got re-barred, found a loophole, and sprung Keller. Which isn't very likely. Angus might be able to do it, though. OK, I'm done.
