Cynicism is Painless

Editing my film paper. Am such a cynic.
"After all, what could be more familiar (and therefore comforting) than Hollywood formulae?"
I need to be stopped.
Heh. Not to brag or anything, but so far my characterization of Alan has been spot-on. Yay me!
Quotage:
"My desk is across town in a corner office with a spectacular view."
Awww. Poor Alan, still an outsider. That and this sounds like a line of dialogue I'd write.
"I don't think you're sick. I think you're peculiar. And a lot of us are quite peculiar."
During this all I could think of was E. Edward Grey. *snerk* It was cute, though.
"I shall."
Sweet, appropriate, and incongruously British. Loved it.
Yeah, I love the Alan/Sheila dynamic. Too bad she's gone now. When they were (supposedly dispassionately) arguing law in Eugene's office...one of the best (and most original) fights I've seen in awhile. And so sad, because you could tell Alan wanted so badly to side with her. And when she spouted off all that law in the courtroom...he was so impressed. It was great.
So, lovely ep. Too bad I don't think we're gonna get a new one next week. Oh well. Maybe they'll rerun the first episode.
And goddamn it! Alan nearly got disbarred for nothing! And Stansfield's gonna come after Ellenor and he's gonna feel so guilty! (Then again, maybe he'll kick Stansfield's ass. Doubtful, but a fun thought to entertain.)
EDIT: There is an ep! And there's escalating sexual tension between Alan and Tara! I like Tara. She has a nice accent and she's snarky. I'm shallow, I know.
