Incoherent Ramblings on RotK

I booed Legolas (yes, there were people applauding him). What an awful character, at least in the movieverse. All he did was state the obvious. I even predicted some lines. Por ejemplo:
Me (to my brother): Next he's gonna say, "Look! A rock!"
Legolas: Look, that rock marks the doorway to [drowned out in my laughter]
I could so RP him. All I'd have to do was rephrase anything anyone else had said. "A diversion." That was priceless.
Poor Faramir got the shaft again, but at least he was likable this time (Yes, I applauded him. And squeed at the Boromir flashback.) Mmm, he had some lovely, pretty angst. And Pippin seemed quite attached to him too ;) My brother and I had this psychic link from the film, since like a third of the way through we have this conversation:
Michael: Ugh, that sucks. Sam needs to kick Gollum's ass.
Me: Aww, Sam and Faramir need hugs.
Michael: Yeah.
Sam then proceeds to punch Gollum repeatedly.
Michael: Now all we need is someone to beat up Denethor.
Me: Well, Gandalf could always beat the crap out of him with his stick.
Which, an hour and a half later, Gandalf does!! Ah, my mad psychic powers. We also called the hobbits disguising themselves as orcs (although that was kind of a joke) and the eagle rescue. And all of Legolas' lines ("Aragorn! You've got a crown on!" [that one I translated from elvish]).
Hmm, what else. The editing seemed kinda weird in this one. They'd just let certain plotlines hang for awhile and then come back to them. And the ending tried to do too much, but that was partially because of the book. And Legolas lived. That made me angry.
Elrond started to get really cute near the end, especially when Arwen and Aragorn reunited.
Galadriel scares me. And always will.
Have I mentioned Faramir? And his father is such a dick.
Maybe more thoughts later, but I seem to have written a lot and you'll be seeing a lot of these all over.
And my God, the drug use in that film. Everything could easily be explained by how drunk/stoned they all were.

Galadriel scares me, too. You are not alone.
