Fuck. I'm such an asshole. I mean, no wonder you left me, right? I'm sitting here, sitting here in our bathroom staring at those cheap little rings the shower curtain used to hang from. And all I can think is: why'd you have to take the shower curtain?

It wasn't that nice. Hell, it wasn't nice at all. It was a shower curtain.

I guess I should be grateful you left me toliet paper, huh?

All right. You got me. Maybe you're better at interrogation than I ever was. Maybe you're better at everything than I ever was. I'm not thinking about the damn shower curtain (still...was it that important?).

How much did it cost you?

I mean, how long did it take you to pack all this stuff, pack all the kids into the car...vacuum the fucking carpet...and drive away?

Because, God, couldn't you have spared the time to do something besides smear "Goodbye" over the bathroom mirror with your lipstick?

You want to know what I think? Yeah, well. Too bad. You're hearing it anyway.

It didn't cost you anything.

You wanted it all along. I bet this is the only time I ever really made you happy. Staggering around the house and fingering the peeling paint on the walls.

Didn't cost a thing. Happiness is just a matter of putting a couple miles between us.
