And MI-5 premieres on A&E tonight at 8. I'm stoked.

Oooooh, the tagline is "They search for the truth. Their lives are a lie." It's already a smash hit in England, so it'll probably fail miserably here.

So, MI-5 is the security service in England (I know this from reading James Bond books), like the FBI. MI-6 is intelligence, more like the CIA (Bond works for MI-6). From what I understand, MI-5, however, follows fewer regulations than the FBI. The show definitely isn't going to be squeaky clean and odds are there aren't any Jack Bauer-like characters. They'd end up dead. MI-5 recruits academics out of Oxford and trains them intensely. How badass.

I'm going to castrate my brother

I went and saw The Man on the Train with Brad. It was very slashy, which is beside the point.

Before I left (around 7), I asked my brother to please set up a tape for MI-5 at 8. I would have set up a tape myself, but he had appropriated the VCR (which, contrary to popular opinion, doesn't belong solely to him) and was watching a tape of Dragon Ball Z. I'm not even going to get started on how wrong that is. On so many levels. So, he fucking forgets to tape the damn show! It was on an hour later, for chrissakes! A&E will probably rerun it, but, you know, sometimes I'd like to be spared the hassle of coordinating this shit around my brother's intense DBZ schedule.

I'd talk about my trip to Navy Pier today and my free Lullaby poster, but I'm ANGRY. ROOOOOOAAAAARRRR.
